brennas 1st birthday

Well, Brenna is 1 years old and is doing great! She is not walking but is getting pretty close to it. She has 5 teeth, 3 on the top and 2 on the bottom. She is still petite and wieghs 18 pounds. I guess you could say that Brennas first word was "hi". She says hi to everyone and even waves!! It is way cute! Overall, she is doing really well and is a joy to be around. Jordans promotion ceremony

Jordan got promoted to Sgt. on October 1st. He was also named NCO of the quarter. Here are some pictures from his promotion ceremony. I kind of look a mess becuase I had to walk there and I got there just in time to pin him. Needless to say, I almost missed it!!

Back to Work

Yesterday was my first day back to work and Brenna's first day with her new babysitter. My day went great and so did Brenna's! Heres a pic of her first day!!!!

well brenna has bottom tooth coming in and she is miss fussy pants!!! but it is ok i love her any way. here are some pics from baby hui. the boys she is with are twins. ethan is in green and thomas is in blue. she cant make up her mind which one is cuter!!

Baby Hui

As some of you already know, Brenna goes to a playgroup every Thursday called Baby Hui. Hui is Hawaiian for group. Brenna seems to have fun and is very active at the playgroup. Yesterday she was crawling all over the blanket and sucking on all the toys. She even has a lil boyfriend there and his name is Axel (her daddy is proud that she picked a boy with a cool name). Yesterday, Brenna was being a lil bully. She was pulling hair and hitting the other kids. She was even taking toys from the other kids. So I had to tell her to be nice!!!!

Today I am starting a new sleeping and napping routine with Brenna. She is still not sleeping through the night and it is driving me nuts!!!! Soo........ we are starting with napping first. I am going to put her down every 2 hours for a nap and have her in her bed for 1 and a half hours. If she cries, after 5 min I am going in and calming her down and putting her back down in her bed. The next time, I am waiting 7 minutes gradually increase the time as we go through this new routine. I have read a book called the Baby Whisperer and this is a techinque in book. One of the moms at Baby Hui was going to try it but she has twins and it wouldnt work very well with twins. So far so good. Brenna is down for nap 1 of the day and I only had to go in there once and she has been a asleep for 45 min. That is a record for her.

Well...... that is it for now, I am sure I will have more later!!! We miss and love everyone back home!!!!!!

EXHAUSTED

well yesterday brenna started crawling!!!! more like scooting but it is close enough to crawling becuase she moves!!! she also started this grunting thing and well.........she decided that she was going to wake up at 3am and start playing!!! it was so bad that she woke up jordan and that is really hard to do, he is a super deep sleeper. usually when she wakes up at night i just nurse her and she goes back to sleep and last night nothing worked! at least she wasnt crying!!!!

so the point of this blog is......................MY BABY IS MOBLE!!!!!!!!

Brenna and the boat

Two weeks ago we went out on the boat with Jason and Pilar and we had a blast. We took both of the dogs, Lola and Lily and they loved the boat ride, not so much the water. Brenna had a good time and she even fell asleep on the way back to the marina even though Pilar was driving and was hitting the water hard and trying to spray Jordan and Erin with water. We had a blast and we hope you all enjoy the pics from that day!!!

May 8th 2008

The pics are from the zoo and from our trip to the macadamian nut farm! Both places were a blast and Brenna had a good time. She has been sleeping through the night this past week, I think it is becuase we are wearing her out during the day!!

last night we took Brenna to the Paradise Cove Luau and she had a blast. I think her favorite part was the fire dancers! Just like her daddy. She even got a lei when we walked in. The girl put it around brennas foot. It was way cute!!!!!!!



Brennas auntie erin is here for a 12 day visit and brenna has had a blast with her. We have gone to the pool and Brenna chilled in the baby pool in her floaty. We went with our nieghbors out on a boat and Brenna loved the boat ride, even when it got pretty bumpy.



Today we are off to the zoo so Brenna can see all the different types of animals.



Milestones:



Brenna is reaching out and trying to grab everything!!! Right now she is grabbing the cords to the computer and pulling on them. She isnt quite crawling soon but that will be soon. She went to the doctors yesterday and got 6 more shots and she took them like a champ and only cried for a minute and then was over it. She is wieghing in at 14.5 pounds and is 25.5 inches long. My lil girl is petite but is following the growth chart just fine. She is eating all the veggies and loves fresh bananas but that is it on the fruits. She loves her cereal and still refuses a bottle. We started her on the sippy and she loves to hold it and is still learning how to use it.
